PORN

If you struggle with porn, you are not alone.

But even cooler? When you find freedom from porn you won’t be alone then either. In other words, freedom is possible. I (Michael) have found it, and so have thousands of others!

Here are a couple posts sharing my story along with the scriptural truth that set me free! Praying you will let it do the same for you!

Is Porn Really a Big Deal?

For starters, if you aren’t even convinced porn is a real problem then you’re unlikely to do much about it. I mean other than to keep watching it. And fantasizing about it. And eventually acting out in increasingly daring and destructive ways.

If that’s you, check out this lighthearted presentation that might allow you to see your special time with porn in a different light.

Why Porn and I are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together

dna-never getting back togetherI was hooked back in grade school; from the moment I sat gawking at the weather-beaten magazine I found mysteriously hidden under a log in the woods. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was hooked.

I never saw that magazine again, but I couldn’t forget the images. Perfect bodies, in positions so teasing, so inviting. Me: Lying.

God: Forgiven!

Me: Stealing?

God: Say no more.

Me: Rage, covetousness, gossip.

God: Check, check, check!

Me: Think that’s it.

God: What about the porn? [read more]

Porn is Like…

Porn is Like 2The last time I consumed porn (or should I say the last time porn consumed me), was the early part of 2001, because while it may have felt like a reason to live at first, I began to see it was bringing death into my life. A terrible death. Though I felt powerfully alive in the moment, it got to where the good feeling would depart as quickly as when Nemo & Dory see the terrifying face behind the cute little glowing light of the Angler fish.

Good feeling’s gone!

Can you relate and yet you still can’t seem to break free?

See if any of these other descriptions of porn might inspire you to swim away from porn.

And to just keep swimming. [read more]
