Break Free from Porn

If you struggle with porn, you are not alone.

But even cooler? When you find freedom from porn you won’t be alone then either. In other words, freedom is possible. I (you can call me MJ) have found it, and so have thousands of others!

Here are a couple posts sharing my story along with the scriptural truth which set me free!

Praying you will let it do the same for you!

Is Porn Really a Big Deal?

For starters, if you aren’t even convinced porn is a real problem then you’re unlikely to do much about it. I mean other than to keep watching it. And fantasizing about it. And eventually acting out in increasingly daring and destructive ways.

Why Porn and I are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together

dna-never getting back togetherI was hooked back in grade school; from the moment I sat gawking at the weather-beaten magazine I found mysteriously hidden under a log in the woods. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was hooked.

I never saw that magazine again, but I couldn’t forget the images. Perfect bodies, in positions so teasing, so inviting. Showing private parts I had beforehand never dared dream would look so alluring. And there were faces on those bodies too. They were also perfect, with those accepting, even eager looks they gave me.

The looks they gave ME…

And that’s the double-whammy of pornography, because it plays on both our natural drive for sexual pleasure and our innate need for acceptance. [read more]

A Conversation with God (about PORN)

Me: Hey God I got some more sin to confess.

God: Forgiven!

Me: Stealing?

God: Say no more.

Me: Rage, covetousness, gossip.

God: Check, check, check!

Me: Think that’s it.

God: What about the porn? [read more]

23 Reasons Why You Should Quit Porn

Here are 23 reasons why you should quit porn. Important note: they aren’t reasons I came up with. They’re reasons others posted anonymously online; others who have seen porn have a major impact on their lives. And not a good one.

I actually tried to pick only 13 for the sake of the “13 Reasons Why” theme, but there were just too many reasons. I share them with you, holding the following hopes… [read more]

Can You have Your Porn and a Relationship Too?

Can You have Your Porn and a Relationship Too?

That question was inspired by another question I saw on the Instagram story of Fight Against Porn, and here it is:

How long does someone need to be porn-free before a relationship?

“Great query,” I thought. And apparently I wasn’t the only one, because many weighed in with answers.
